RJ Gurumurthy, Founder · MA HIC License #215304 · Greater Boston & South Shore
I started SR Enterprises because I kept seeing the same thing happen to homeowners and property managers in Greater Boston.
They'd call a contractor after water damage or an emergency. The contractor would show up, do part of the job, and disappear. Or they'd hire the cheapest bid and spend the next three months dealing with the fallout — the thing that wasn't fixed right, the insurance claim that got complicated, the work that had to be done twice.
I've been in construction long enough to know the difference between a job done right and a job done fast. They're not always the same thing.
We focus on restoration work — water damage, ice dam damage, fire damage, storm damage — and the full rebuild that follows. We also take on renovations when the scope fits what we do well.
The reason we focus on restoration is simple: it's where the stakes are highest. When a pipe bursts in your house or an ice dam takes out your ceiling, you don't need the cheapest contractor. You need someone who shows up fast, documents the damage properly, works with your adjuster, and fixes it completely. That's the job we built this company to do.
From the first call through the final walkthrough. You're not managing three different subcontractors and hoping they talk to each other.
Drying logs, Xactimate scopes, adjuster communication, supplementing underpaid claims — this is part of the job, not something we hand off to you to figure out.
That means we know how to document jobs for building owners, communicate with tenants professionally, and deliver the paperwork that management companies need.

We're based in Pembroke, MA. Most of our work is in Boston, Quincy, Dorchester, Cambridge, Dedham, Charlestown, West Roxbury, and Brookline — neighborhoods we know well, building types we've worked in, weather patterns we've built around.
Boston buildings are old. Triple-deckers, brownstones, wood-frame condos. They have deferred maintenance, older plumbing, attics that aren't properly insulated. When something goes wrong, it goes wrong in specific ways we've seen before.
A conversation with a person who knows the work. Not a form to fill out, not a call center.
Tell us what's happening, where you are, and what you've noticed. We'll tell you what we think it is, what we'd do about it, and whether we're the right fit for the job. If we're not, we'll tell you that too.
